We get so inspired by brands who wish to reach for more and scale up their story visually. That was the case with Copenhagen Records, who approached us with a task of creating an identity worthy of transitioning into United Records - a go-to label for artists in the Nordics, but with a global outlook.
Our direction pays homage to the legacy of Copenhagen Records, all the while creating a more contemporary, visually stimulating narrative between the artist and the fan. We’ve painted that vision purple, historically royal but more recently associated with inclusivity and creative culture.
Paired with a casual, yet dynamic logotype stylised in lowercase, and a non-gendered sans serif that’s equally stark and effortless, United Records gives a nod to industry trends without compromising that strong, stable brand foundation that can stand the test of time. With the 5th element, we wanted to send United Records off with signature seal of brand quality - one that could function as an expressive frame for images and a visual cue in communication.
