Hærværk/Mesterværk marks a new era for Soleima—a shift from stringent pop and controlled R’n’B to a freer, more exploratory rock sound. We created the full visual identity for this transformation, including everything from the logo and single covers to animations, tour materials, and the final vinyl. The visual language embraces the raw, chaotic, and emotional while remaining grounded in the sophisticated sans-serif KMR Waldenburg.

The single tetralogy—Den Udødelige Historie, Sidste År, Vilde Øjne, and Sommertid— unfolds in a dark world where grotesque hybrids of larva, pupa, and butterfly evolve from one cover to the next. The vinyl brings that transformation to its peak, capturing Hærværk/Mesterværk’s core theme: the emotional duality of living a seemingly perfect life while feeling the urge to sabotage it. A hand and a butterfly are suspended in tension, caught between creation and collapse, neither grasping nor releasing. The inverted front and back mirror the album’s dual nature; a constant pull between destruction and beauty.
