yes – dance biennale is a new, ambitious dance festival taking place in Copenhagen for the first time in late summer 2026. For one month, the city becomes a stage, from established theatres to intimate studios and public spaces, celebrating the most prominent voices in contemporary dance and choreography.
Created by Dansehallerne, København Danser, Sydhavn Teater, and Dansk Danseteater, the biennale brings the field together across different institutions, connecting artists and audiences and positioning Copenhagen as a serious player on the international dance scene.
We designed a visual identity that moves with the biennale. The logo becomes its signature: organic and in constant transition, a fluid form that carries the sense of bodies in motion and energy unfolding in space. Flexible and dynamic, it adapts across formats while also remaining a recognisable constant.
The colour palette draws on the range of the program, from intimate works to large-scale performances in public space. The typography embodies the curves and character of the logo, forming a system that feels alive and rhythmic.
Not a frame around dance — but an extension of it.
