Book Design Concept for ‘Lov mig aldrig at glemme’

A co-production between Blaagaard Teater and AKT1

'Lov mig aldrig at glemme' is a poetic portrayal of two lovers, Nana and Noa, whose relationship is challenged by age, race, and societal expectations. At Hey Jack Studio, we created a book design that channels the play’s core themes—love, separation, and the complexities of difference—reflecting the raw emotional journeys of the characters and their longing for a shared future.

A colour palette of light blue and deep red encapsulates the balance between calmness and passion, as well as the tension sparked by distance and connection. An asymmetrical layout and ample white space, mirrors the characters’ shifting emotional states—from moments of deep closeness to stark division. The combination of serif and sans serif typefaces emphasizes the friction and harmony between their contrasting worlds, and the bravery it takes to overcome social barriers.
